Public health is the proactive, preventative approach to health concerns that affect a society as a whole. Public health is concerned with many facets of life, including emergency medical services, environmental health, maternal and children’s health, nutrition and wellness.
The Mission
The mission of the Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department is to promote and assure maximized health for all the residents and communities of Burt, Cuming, Madison and Stanton Counties through assessment, collaboration, policy and program development.
The Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department oversees a wide range of programs including emergency disaster planning, minority health initiatives and health and wellness programs.
